Civil Rights Leaders Demand End to $2.13 Tipped Wage, Call It a Legacy of Slavery

Justice, political and labor leaders gathered in New York to call for the passage of Living Wage for All legislation, which would raise the minimum wage to $30 an hour in New York and $25 an hour federally, and eliminate all subminimum wages, in order to address the racial and gender wage gaps exacerbated by the federal tipped wage of $2.13 an hour.
