The Gecko series opens with New York’s Theatreworks’ performance of “Skippyjon Jones.” Based on the popular book, the kitten with the big ears and bigger imagination transforms into Skippito Friskito, the greatest Chihuahua sword fighter of old Mexico. But when his canine friends are terrorized by a huge bee, will Skippyjon turn ‘fraidy cat, or stay top dog? Recommended for grades K-4, the musical encourages children to believe in themselves.
