Money Management 201: Class Schedule

CAAB’s signature financial education program Money Management 201 is a five-module series made up of three hour classes. Participants will learn how to gain control of their finances by acquiring knowledge of: How to Invest,
Plan for Retirement, Plan an Estate, Tackle Insurance, and Prepare for College.

Seminar 1: Savings and Investing 3/4/2014
This seminar will inform participants about the importance of savings and investing:
• Methods to utilize to reach short-and-long term financial goals
• Ways to save and make investments
• Types of saving accounts and investment tools
• Understanding simple interest compared to compound interest

Seminar 2: Retirement 3/11/2014
This seminar will inform participants about planning for retirement:
• Discuss factors that should be considered when evaluating retirement goals
• Options available to make up for shortfalls in reaching retirement goals
• Factors to consider to re-evaluate your retirement goals

Seminar 3: Estate Planning 3/18/2014
This seminar is sometimes called “the elephant in the room”. The participant will learn:
• Key elements of estate planning
• Determine types of assets / property to include
• Estate planning as an essential part of financial planning
• Basic estate planning tools
• How to minimize probate issues and reduce taxes

Seminar 4: Insurance 3/25/2014
This seminar will inform participants about choosing the right insurance for every stage of life:
• The importance of having appropriate insurance
• Life stages for appropriate insurance products
• Evaluating types of insurance

Seminar 5: College Planning 4/1/2014
This seminar will inform the participant about benefits and costs associated with education:
• Ways to save/finance college education
• College planning as part of financial planning
• How to involve your child in the planning process

Financial Cafe
April 8, 2014

This Café will allow for attendees to schedule a mini one-on one
coaching session with a financial advisor or planner in the field
of any of the five classes discussed in this series. Participants must
attend at least one of the classes in the series to be eligible for a one on-
one session.
Registration for the Café is open until April 1, 2014 at 5pm.
*Registration for a one-on-one session with a financial advisor/planner occurs at the end of each class.
