On Monday, January 21, 2013, prominent ambassadors and diplomatic leaders will host an Ambassadors Inaugural Ball to honor the President's commitment to promoting peace and diplomacy throughout the world. This exclusive black-tie affair will be held Monday, January 21, 2013 at Carnegie Library at Mt. Vernon Square-The Historical Society of Washington, DC- 801 K Street, NW- and will run from 7:00 PM until 1:00 AM. Members of Congress, State Department Officials, Cabinet Members, Dignitaries, and other influencers in the international community, will come together at the Ambassadors Inaugural Ball, to recognize the critical roles that ambassadors perform every day to promote peace and diplomacy as well as garner support for humanitarian cause.
