Wake Forest Defeats Navy in EagleBowl

Meeting for the second time this season, Navy (8-4) and Wake Forest (7-5) battled one another on Sat., Dec. 20 in the inaugural EagleBank Bowl at RFK Stadium in front of a crowd of 28,777. Wake Forest’s Rich Belton made a 35-yard touchdown run with 54 seconds left to upset Navy. The Demon Deacons’ 16 seniors finished with a 32-19 record, three bowl appearances and the 2006 Atlantic Coast Conference championship.
