The Kia Sedona: Perfect for Families
Some people still have families and need more than a two-seater car or a compact sporty vehicle. With that in mind, Kia continues to upgrade its vehicle selections to accommodate the needs of its consumers. The 2008 Kia Sedona is a cute minivan that is easy to handle. It’s perfect for families.
The Sedona earned a five-star crash rating in all four seating positions from the U.S. Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). It was also selected by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) as one of only 34 vehicles to earn the “Top Safety Pick†award for its impressive performance with top ratings in frontal, side and rear impact crash tests.

“We are extremely proud that Sedona was the first minivan ever to earn the IIHS ‘Top Safety Pick,’†said Len Hunt, president and CEO of Kia Motors America. “To continue to earn this honor - now for the third year in a row – is yet another example of our dedication to providing quality vehicles equipped with the highest level of standard safety features available.â€
Both Sedonas models offer a long list of standard safety equipment including six standard airbags (dual advanced front and front seat-mounted side air bags, and full-length side curtain air bags for all three seating rows).
The seven-passenger SUV is spacious with a simple-to-operate 60/40 split folding-into-the-floor third row seat to create a larger flat cargo area. One of its biggest drawing attractions is the DVD entertainment system. If you want quiet with a bunch of kids, don’t hesitate to buy this beauty.
Standard features include fog lights, eight-way power-adjustable driver’s seat, four-way power-adjustable passenger’s seat, heated power mirrors, an eight-speaker AM/FM/CD/MP3 audio system with new auxiliary input jack, auto-dimming rear view mirror with HomeLink®, leather-wrapped steering wheel, power rear quarter glass, trip computer with compass and a roof rack.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is $26,565. The 2008 Kia Sedona offers 16 miles per gallon (mpg) in the city and 18 mpg on the highway.
