Washington Informer LeBron James announced on a nationally televised special "The Decision" that he will sign with the Miami Heat.  Photo by John De Freitas

Perhaps the most sought after free agent in NBA history, two-time MVP LeBron James, will be joining the Miami Heat this fall. James joins returning superstar Dwyane Wade and new acquisition Chris Bosh, who spent seven seasons with the Toronto Raptors. James announced his choice during a nationally televised program on ESPN titled “The Decision” on Thursday night.

James stated that the deciding factor in his decision was to play for a team that has an opportunity to win not just one, but multiple championships.

“Winning is a huge thing for me,” James said. Contract details are still being worked out, as both Bosh and James will likely make less than maximum deals, which they would have earned by staying with their original teams.

Corley and Fuller were in a very tight bout for three rounds as both veterans used solid defensive movements to make the bout a very even chess match. But in the fourth, Corley exploded with a right hand to the head and dropped Fuller twice before referee Billy Johnson stopped the bout at 2:49 of the round.

The Washington Mystics squandered a chance to move back into first place in the Eastern Conference standings -- a spot the team held earlier during the week -- after a hard-fought, physical contest with the Indiana Fever. The Mystics lost, 78-73, Sat., July 24 at the Verizon Center in Northwest.

"We've got to be hungry," Washington Coach Julie Plank said.

"We've got to come out with a mentality and a belief that we can win the East. “That was a little disappointing. I thought we let [Indiana] come in and dictate the tempo."
