A healthy D.C. United team playing with a different goalkeeper gave the 16,089 fans another tied game at RFK stadium on Sat., May 23. Rookie goalkeeper Milos Kocic was in the net; goalkeeper Louis Crayton was not in uniform.

“As a [goal]keeper, it's always good to get consistency of [playing in] games and getting a rhythm,” reserve Josh Wicks said. “It's kind of tough when you play one game and wait a few weeks to play another game.”

“He [Wicks] did what he needed to do to win us a game. He made sure he put his mark on the game. We talked about them bunkering [defensively], and they did just that,” United Coach Tom Soehn said. United is 2-0-4 at home this season.

“The way you open that up is you score early. We had a good chance to score, and when we didn't do it, we lulled ourselves to sleep and quit moving. We didn't take charge of the game,” United midfielder Santino Quaranta said.

“From the start, we didn't have any answers. We haven't come across a team playing that defensive and we didn't know how to break them down. Our ideas weren't that great, and it showed. We have to do better at home and not always have these ties,” said forward Luciano Emilio. “Sometimes ties are good, but not this time.”
