The Henry Wise Pumas traveled to Laurel on Fri. April 17 to take on the Spartans. The Spartans took a 2-0 lead in the third inning, however, the Pumas were able to bite back in the fourth inning when starting pitcher Andrew Byrd hit 2 run RBI to tie the game. Not only did Byrd drive in 2 runs, he stopped 16 batters at the plate. The Puma’s third basemen Zachary Myers followed up in the fourth and sixth innings with a total of 4 RBI’s that set the final score at 6-2.
