Washington Informer “During the season, I try to let things come to me and during the game I let the offense come to me. During the second half they did a good job at taking away good looks and I didn't want to force anything. I wanted to do a better job at letting the game come to me,” said Georgetown’s DaJuan Summers. Photo By John E. DeFreitas - WI Sports Photo Editor

Pittsburgh sophomore DeJuan Blair had 20 points and 17 rebounds and won his duel with Georgetown standout freshman Greg Monroe, as the No. 3 Panthers gave the No. 11 Hoyas their first loss in 28 games on Sat. Jan. 3 at Verizon center before 19,397 fans.

“Each and every game we figure out something to grow from, but in many ways you do throw it away because that's the type of game that sits in your stomach. That's the nature of this league. You have to bounce back. You're going to have to figure out what to take from it and immediately focus on what's ahead of you,” said Hoyas Coach John Thompson III.
Washington Informer “As everyone knows, we have great respect for the Georgetown program. Coach Thompson and I are great friends, so anytime you can get a win against them you know it's a well earned victory. What I told the guys after the game was I was so impressed with our preparation,” said Pittsburgh coach Jamie Dixon.” Photo By John E. DeFreitas - WI Sports Photo Editor
