Children enjoyed various activity stations such as 'Cheer Station', hosted by the Washington Redskins Cheerleaders; 'Pigskin Toss', hosted by the DC Divas; and 'Nutrition', led by Holli Thompson Nutritional Style. Presented by Legacy and CareFirst, 'Recess' is an event conducted by the American Heart Association with support from the Washington Redskins and GlaxoSmithKline. Twenty children who are exemplary participants in the 'Recess' program will be rewarded tickets to the Washington Redskins and New York Jets game on Sunday, Dec. 4.
"The 'Recess' event demonstrates the power and positive impact of this truly unique, collaborative partnership between the Redskins, GlaxoSmithKline, the American Heart Association, CareFirst and several other community health partner organizations," said Mitch Gershman, Washington Redskins Chief Marketing Officer.
