The_Monique_Show2Executives at BET have confirmed cancellation of comedienne and actress Mo'Nique's late-night chit-chat, The Monique Show.

The show abruptly stopped airing earlier this summer following reports that Monique, whose last name is Hicks, and BET were in disagreement over her demands for a higher salary.

The cancellation has left many people who were associated with the show angry and out of work, including Monique's sidekick Rodney Perry.

BET reportedly announced the cancellation via email, stating that "The Mo'Nique Show will be on production hiatus beginning in the fall." ... Mo'Nique Hicks and The Mo'Nique Show are important to the BET Networks family and we look forward to continuing our relationship with her."

Reports also cite low ratings for the show which debuted in October 2009.
