This column is a reminder of how we take control of our thoughts. Never allow Satan to come in. When you realize that he has entered your mind, as he does all of us, kick him out. Here are some examples:
Prevent harmful stress and conflict from occurring in your life by controlling your mind. Feel yourself letting go of any tensions within you, and you will begin to feel yourself relaxing and becoming more calm and confident - calling those things that be not, as though they were, that's faith!
Never allow harmful tension to build up in you. Conquer stress by conquering its causes. Consciously remove stress and tension through balance, perspective, appropriate actions and exercise. Practice seeing places of peaceful beauty in your mind, and when you want to relax completely, even if only for just a moment, go to a place of inner peace. Yes you can and yes you will.
Each time you repeat positive words in your mind you will find yourself becoming even more relaxed and stress free. You are completely relaxed and can focus on your goal now. You are becoming more self assured in all areas of your life. Now you can begin to move forward with the goals which God has spoken into your life. Yes you can and yes you will.
Lord, thank you for this inner-peace. You are calm and confident, you take the time to work at achievement and you enjoy the beauty of life as well. You do not spend your time trying to live up to the expectations of others. You allow only those energies that are positive and good and for your total well-being to work within you.
You have inner peace, you live your life with purpose and you enjoy being you. You give fear no place to dwell in your life.
As Vickie Winans song says "When trouble comes and storms begin to rise, hold on and learn to stretch out." Speak into your life with words of faith, power, passion and conviction. You cannot control someone else, but God has given us the ability to take control over our attitudes, actions and behaviors. So 'call those things that be not, as though they were.'
It has worked for me; North Carolina sharecropper's daughter, now Washington national monument maker; coordinated events for U.S. presidents; D.C. mayors; D.C. Council members – speak life, name it and claim it!
