Zykia Brown scored a game-high 13 points and Tamaya Daniels just missed a double-double with 11 and nine rebounds to lead Howard to a 63-36 win over Winston-Salem State in a non-conference women's game at Burr Gymnasium. The win was the second straight for the Lady Bison (2-13) while the Lady Rams (0-14) are still looking for their first win.

â€œThe morale is now high on this team,â€ said Niki Reid Geckeler, in her first year at the helm for the Lady Bison. â€œThe win in that last game carried over to tonight. We showed more improvement on defense,â€ said Geckeler, who served as an assistant at Georgetown before taking the job at the Hilltop. â€œWe did a good job, especially getting into the passing lanes.â€
