Each year nearly 700 families stay at the Washington, D.C. and Northern Virginia Ronald McDonald Houses with the support of McDonald's customers and employees. From now through Nov. 20, the McDonald's Family Restaurants of Greater Washington, D.C. invites r sidents to celebrate McHappy Day - which kicks off the company's annual "Give A Hand" fundraiser to support Ronald McDonald House Charities(RMHC) in local communities around the world.
With support from local community and campaigns like the "Give A Hand" fundraiser serves nearly 5,200 families with seriously ill children who have stayed at the two Greater Washington D.C. houses since they opened their doors in 1980.
Here are a few ways residents can participate in the McHappy Day fundraiser this year and show support for RMHC: Celebrate McHappy Day: For each paper Hand sold through Nov. 20, McDonald's will donate all proceeds to RMHC.
Purchase a Happy Meal or Mighty Kids Meal: Every time customers purchase a Happy Meal or Mighty Kids Meal, McDonald's will donate a portion of the proceeds to RMHC.
