The rally, which will include a march from HU to the U.S. Chamber of Commerce, is also in support of the Occupy Wall Street protests and other demonstrations that are ongoing or have taken place in the nation's capital.
According to a report, HU rally organizers say they've coordinated with, and will be joined by protesters from current "occupations" near the White House.
In addition, the rally seeks to bring more racial diversity to the Wall Street protests, and HU alumnus Talib Karrim noted in an interview, that issues raised by the protesters should resonate with African-Americans, who endure poverty and unemployment in greater percentages than the general population.
