Hi Denise & WI. Award-Jason Miccolo Johnson and I have produced a short retrospective video that will be presented at the memorial service this Friday. Many people did not know that my friend Ofield published the Washington North Star Newspaper in 1981. Major advertisers bailed on Ofield causing the short life of the paper but the victory was in the effort. This makes the survival of publications like The Washington Informer, The Afro American, Ebony & Jet and other Black publications a study in great entrepreneurship. l

I have an autographed copy of the inaugural issue and the articles were so timely and still ring true today. I hope to see you there.
