On behalf of the Committee of the Whole, City Council Chairman Kwame Brown announces a Public Oversight Roundtable on Economic Development Projects and Programs in Ward 5. The public oversight roundtable is scheduled for 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., Feb. 21 at Turkey Thicket Recreation Center, 1100 Michigan Ave., 20017

The roundtable has two purposes: to allow the District government witnesses to inform Ward 5 residents about the economic development projects and programs occurring in their neighborhoods , and to provide an opportunity for Ward 5 residents to testify on economic development matters and recommend areas for improvement.

Individuals and representatives of organizations who wish to testify at the roundtable are encouraged to register online at the Council of the District of Columbia website (http://dccouncil.us).

When registering to testify, individuals and representatives must provide their names, addresses, telephone numbers, and organizational affiliations, if any. Registration will be open until close of business on Monday, Feb. 20.

Each prospective public witness must submit electronically written testimony to McIver by Monday, Feb. 20. Individual testimonies will be allowed three minutes, and organizational testimonies will be allowed five minutes.
