With the likelihood of Chris Tucker appearing in the forthcoming installment of "Friday" becoming more and more slim, he is interested in starring in another remake.
The comedian-actor recently revealed to BlackFilm.com's Wilson Morales, that there's a "possibility" he may land a starring role in forthcoming English version of the French box office hit, "The Intouchables?"
I've seen it and yes, I have been talking with them (producers) about doing it. I hope something will come out of it because I really like the movie and they are in the process of getting it together. So there's a possibility that it might happen.
According to Variety, the drama, which is based on a true story, follows a wealthy aristocrat who ends up as a quadriplegic following an accident, and in turn befriends a troubled caregiver. Since its domestic opening last May, the Weinstein distributed film has grossed close to $10 million and another $399 million globally (since its foreign debut on November 2011).
As for Tucker's former "Friday" co-star, Ice Cube, the door is still open for him to rejoin the cast.
"I would hope that he'll be a part of it," Cube recently admitted to the Huffington Post. "He's more than welcome to be a part of it ...We put the first one together and we can put another one together."
"So he should really trust that, and do what his fans want him to do. You should never out grow your fans. And if the fans want him to do this movie, that's what we're in this for, then that's what he should do."
