Washington Mystics General Manager and Head Coach Trudi Lacey announced that free agent guard Shannon Bobbitt has signed with the team and would start against her former Indiana Fever on Friday, June 15 at the Verizon Center. Bobbitt was selected in the second round of the 2008 WNBA draft by the Los Angeles Sparks, where she spent two seasons before joining the Indiana Fever for the 2011 campaign.

Prior to her WNBA career, Bobbitt led the University of Tennessee in back-to-back national championships during the 2006-07 and 2007-08 seasons. In this photo, Bobbitt weaves around former teammates Roneeka Hodges and Noelle Quinn during second-half WNBA action on Friday, June 15 at the Verizon Center.
