Bowie Trounces JCSU

The Bowie State University (BSU) Bulldogs faced the John C. Smith University (JCSU) Golden Bulls in a conference match up before a packed crowd in the A.C. Jordan Arena on Thursday, Jan. 19.

The Bulldogs, who entered the game with an 11-3 overall record and 3-2 CIAA Conference record, dominated from the opening tip off and went into halftime with a 9-point lead over the Golden Bulls.

At the start of the 2nd half, the Bulldogs came out on fire as starting guard Jay Gavin was on the move draining 19 points in the game; with teammates Bryan Wilson and Darren Clark also sinking 11 points apiece to cruise to a 70-60 win over JCSU. Bowie State improved to 12-3 and 4-2 in the CIAA Conference. Bowie travels to Chowan University in North Carolina on Saturday, Jan. 21, for their next game.
