Hundreds of protesters from as far away as Canada braved the cold weather to let their voice be heard on Saturday, January 21, as hundreds rallied outside of the White House and another group of 400 hundred or more marched on Capitol Hill in route to CNN D.C. Headquarter to let their voices be heard about the current inhuman policies from genocide, to child slave labor going on in the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Members from the group said they were marching to the CNN Headquarters to force them to speak with the group and to report on the crisis currently going on.
Many of the protester carried signs references to President Obama's lack of interest in stopping genocide. "10 million people have been murdered, and 4 million raped by current Democratic Republic of the Congo President Joseph Kabila", said Jacque Miango, "the people of Congo want President Obama to step in and help the people of Congo like he did with Egypt, and Libya, Miango also stated.
