There's a royal baby on the way.
According to various media outlets that broke the news on Dec. 3, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge -- Prince William and Kate Middleton --are expecting their first child.
"Their Royal Highnesses, The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are very pleased to announce that The Duchess of Cambridge is expecting a baby," the palace said Monday in a statement. "The Queen, The Duke of Edinburgh, The Prince of Wales, The Duchess of Cornwall and Prince Harry and members of both families are delighted with the news."
Unfortunately, Kate also had to be admitted to the hospital, suffering from hyperemesis gravidarum, which is morning sickness severe enough to require supplementary hydration and nutrients.
The 30-year-old mom-to-be is expected to remain in the hospital for several days and then will have to take it easy.
