Last Friday, Caron Butler scored the winning basket at the buzzer to defeat the Toronto Raptors, 100-98 in Toronto. Three days later in Washington D.C., Chris Bosh evened the score. With 9.7 seconds remaining on the clock, Bosh hit a three-pointer to give the Raptors a 97-96 win over the Wizards. Bosh, who had 25 points and 15 rebounds, converted his first three-pointer since March 6. It was his 42nd double-double of the season, tying his 2006-07 franchise high. Butler scored 28 points and Antawn Jamison had 23 for Washington in its 62nd loss.

“We made a lot of errors tonight and we gave them a lot of opportunities to win the game," said interim Head Coach Ed Tapscott. Asked about coaching his last two games for the Wizards Tapscott said, “It's just best that I not comment on that. For me, it's just a matter of focusing on finishing the season as strongly as possible,” Tapscott said. The Wizards new head coach next season will likely be Flip Saunders, who is in talks with the team on a deal that will bring him to Washington

“Any game you can play in the NBA is a blessing, so you don't want to look at it like you're trying to get past the season,” said center Brendan Haywood. “I'm happy to have played in the game that I've been able to. I've seen my teammates grow up a lot this year. Hopefully we can win this last game and go into the summer on a positive note and improve.”
