Nationals Post 8-Game Winning Streak

Washington Nationals Pitcher Garrett Mock got his first win of the year and outfielder Josh Willingham drills a two-run home run, as the Washington Nationals beat the Arizona Diamondbacks, 5-2, on Sat., Aug. 8 for a season-high seventh consecutive victory.
The Nationals extended the win streak to eight games with a 9-2 victory over the Diamondbacks on Sun., Aug. 9. The Nationals are currently on a road trip to face the Atlanta Braves and the Cincinnati Reds.

Washington Nationals pitcher Sean Burnett pitched two scoreless innings before the Nationals called on pitcher Jorge Sosa to close in the ninth.
