Creative Writing Contest Open to All Ages

The D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities invites District of Columbia resident writers to submit their works for The 26th Annual LARRY NEAL WRITERS' COMPETITION.
Cash awards and prizes are given to writers of all ages for artistic excellence in poetry, short story, dramatic writing, and essay.
Special Prize offered for 2009: The Big Read €" D.C. Special Recognition Award for Creative Expression. The deadline is Thurs., March 19 at 7 p.m. All applications must be mailed to the D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities, 1371 Harvard Street, Northwest Washington, D.C. 20009
Awards will be presented at the 26th Annual Larry Neal Writers' Awards Ceremony on Fri., May 8 at 6 p.m. in the Elizabethan Theatre at the Folger Shakespeare Library.
