Councilmember Ingrid Turner Presented with Prestigious 2009 Civic Leadership Award

Prince George€s County Councilmember Ingrid M. Turner (D €" Dist. 4), is the recipient of the 2009 Prince George€s Community Foundation Civic Leadership Award, celebrating her service to Prince George€s County. The award was presented to Turner on April 23 during the 2009 Civic Leadership Awards €A Time to Care€ event, at Camelot by Martin€s in Upper Marlboro, Md.

The Prince George€s Community Foundation Civic Leadership Awards were created to recognize, honor and promote outstanding community leadership in Prince George€s County. Turner joins two of her colleagues who were previous recipients of the award€"Council members Samuel Dean and Camille Exum. Turner expressed thanks to her supporters upon accepting the award.

I am most thankful for my parents who instilled the value of leadership and community service in me €" to whom much is given, much is required.
