A Teen€s Opinion: €The book €WISH€ symbolizes the unity of our diverse world. It brings all races together with the simple aspect of wishing. This book teaches children to aspire big dreams, yet, educates them about the children around the world.€
A Mother€s Opinion: €I was very impressed with the beautiful drawings in this book. They are full of the wondrous gifts that are blessed with from our heavenly father, €God.€€ Carol Lopez.
Editor€s Note: €American children make silent wishes while blowing out the candles on their birthday. This is done after family and friends sing €Happy Birthday to You,€ a song popularized in 1931. It is said that blowing out all the candles in one breath will make the wish come true, but only if it€s kept secret.€ [The children€s librarian at Mount Pleasant Library highly recommended this excellent multi-cultural book.]
