The Howard Lady Bison fell in the first game of last Saturday afternoon's doubleheader with Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) North rival Coppin State 7-0 at Banneker Field in Northwest. On Sun. April 4 the Bison picked up their victory defeating Coppin 4-3 to split the home opening 2010 series. She advanced to second on a fielder's choice and moved to third base on a Coppin State fielding error. After Lorae Robinson stole second, Courtney Young walked to load the bases with no outs. Aisha Ledet reached first on a Coppin State fielding error, which allowed Sborz to score the winning run.
