Prince George€s County Health Department Celebrates €National Children€s Dental Health Month€ by Offering Free Dental Screenings

LARGO, MD€"The Prince George€s County Health Department€s Dental Health Program recognizes February as Children€s Dental Health Month by hosting several activities.
€Children€s teeth are meant to last a lifetime, and a healthy smile is important to a child€s self,-esteem,€ said Donald Shell, M.D., M.A., Health Officer. €With proper care, a balanced diet and regular dental visits, their teeth can remain healthy and strong.€
In an effort to educate and encourage good oral health, all Prince George€s County Public School Nurses were provided posters to post in health rooms. During the month of February, a poster contest will be held at James Ryder Randall Elementary School, Suitland Elementary School, and Andrew Jackson Middle School. .
The Health Department is pleased to extend service to all walk-ins for children 0 to 18 years of ages during National Children€s Dental Health Month, at the Cheverly Health Center in Cheverly, MD.
