Wondering what funny man Michael Colyar has been up to?

Well, the comic ended 2009 on a high note, starring as the chef in Disney€s €The Princess and the Frog.€ To date, the popular musical has grossed $85 million in domestic box office sales. Colyar, who also stars in the Wii game version of the movie, said it€s a film everyone should see.

The comedian is also featured in Snoop Dogg€s short film, €Malice in Wonderland,€ the companion to Snoop€s recent CD, with Jamie Foxx, Soulja Boy and Xzibit.

But Colyar€s got even more on the front burners as 2010 rolls in. He€s currently working on a documentary entitled, €A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the White House€ and a comedy CD entitled €Michael Colyar€s Greatest Hits and Greatest Unknowns.€

The CD includes a host of well-known recording artists. He has also written two books, €Miss Innocent Goes to Kool Skool and Other Silly Stuff" which consists of poetry and a compilation of his memoirs, "Michael Goes Motivational.€

Motivational speaker Les Brown, who penned the forward to €Miss Innocent,€ said that Colyar is one of the most inspirational people he€s ever known.

€I have been fortunate to meet many talented and gifted people. Two who stand out most in my mind for their ability to change people's lives with the power of the written word are Maya Angelou and Michael Colyar,€ Brown said.

The Chicago native honed his comic skills at Los Angeles€ famed Venice Beach before he hit the mainstream as the 1990 grand prize comedy champion of "Star Search." Colyar donated $50,000 of his winnings to charities in the Los Angeles area.

Since then, Colyar has become one of the nation€s most beloved comics, appearing on stage and screen. He has hosted a BET comedy show and appeared in major Hollywood films. Ten year ago, Venice honored its most popular celebrity by adding Colyar€s handprints to the city€s new boardwalk.

€God is just the greatest. I am blessed to be a channel for him, delivering a message of wholeness and well-being through what is sometimes perceived to be the bawdiest humor,€ Colyar said.

€But laughter is the most healing balm on the planet. When you laugh, your heart opens and that's when I get you. My goal is to raise your consciousness by any means necessary,€ he said.
