During this past week, the Lord gave me, "power of the anointing!" Wonder why some of his chosen ones can effect major change, while others seem to be working much harder? Seems like some are trying to create change without the help of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ; trying to make new things happen, by their own efforts.

The Lord knew us before we were formed in the womb of our mothers. Therefore, it is futile for us to try to do what our minds lead us to do. First, we must understand that Satan takes up space in all our minds, but it is up to us to listen or not listen to the voice of the devil. The scripture reminds us to 'pray without ceasing.' Why, because an idle mind is the devil's playground.

I was watching Creflo Dollar the other day, and he tried an exercise with his church congregation. First, he asked them to think about something, and then he asked them to count to 10. He then said, "Once you began to count, you lost your concentration of what it was you were thinking of, didn't you?" You can't speak and think simultaneously, can you?

It was a reminder that the devil can come into our minds, but we must use the Word of God to speak against those negative thoughts that come into our minds. Ask yourself, "Who's in the cock-pit of your mind."

There was a blessed testimony given by Jan Crouch from Trinity Broadcasting Network, the wife of the founder. Jan said that she had been diagnosed with cancer and she had considered ending her life.

"I was so sad that I had not smiled or laughed for an entire year. Then one night, Jesus came to visit me in a dream. I saw myself in a beautiful field, and Jesus was sitting underneath a tree, and something happened that caused me to laugh, and laugh. When I awakened, I was laughing. My husband wondered what had happened! He had not heard me laugh in such a long time," she said.

The anointing had fallen upon Jan Crouch during her sleep. Then one day, she and her husband were riding someplace, and the exact field that she seen in her dream was there before her. She asked her husband to stop, and she got out, and began to thank God as she ran through the field of flowers. She thanked God for giving her the anointing, and the desire to continue to live!

There is power in the anointing. Don't allow Satan to take up residence in your mind. Talk him out with the Word of God, repeat scriptures over and over, the devil will flee. He cannot stay in a residence where God abides. If Satan tells you to kill yourself, just say "I come that you might have life, and that you may have it more abundantly. It is written!

In the scripture, according to the book of Isaiah, chapter 44, verse 4, it talks about the blessings of our seed and offspring - when we use the gift given to us by God, we will be anointed to get favorable results. Then scripture reminds us that we will be blessed, and even the seed of our children will be blessed.

In the book of Psalms 92:1, scripture reminds us that "Thanksgiving and praise will keep the anointing alive." Don't grow weary in well doing, for you will reap what you sew.
