The Orlando Magic avoided a sweep of their seven game series with a 96-92 overtime win over the Boston Celtics at the TD Garden before a capacity crowd of 18,624. Orlando avoided the sluggish starts which have plagued them during this best of seven series taking a 31-26 first quarter lead over the home team.

"At some point, somebody is going to come from 3-0 down to win a series," Magic coach Stan Van Gundy said.

Dwight Howard led the Magic with 32 points and 16 rebounds displaying an all star effort Magic fans have been waiting for in this series. "We know that we were down 3-0, and we didn't want to go home (for the season)."

Howard said at the post game press conference. "It starts with me and Jameer. Me and Jameer showed our leadership by playing hard. We've got to be the leaders on this team. It's not about points, but just show everybody, ' hey just follow us and we'll lead the way."

"They don't want to leave. Were going to have to throw them out," said Celtic forward Glen Davis. "It's just like someone renting a house a house." Davis said at this post game press conference.

"There were a couple of plays down the stretch offensively that we botched, plain and simple. We're kicking ourselves. We had a great opportunity, "Allen said at his post game press conference.

"There's no need to panic. We like the position we are in. Buts it's a lesson. We want to take care of the small things and we'll get to where we want to be." Allen said.

The Magic shot 44.6% percent from the game, the Celtics shot 42.1% from the floor.

Nelson chipped in with 23 points, 9 assist, and 5 rebounds to go with Howard's 32 points, 16 rebounds and 4 blocked shots. Rashard Lewis contributed 13 points and 5 rebounds. JJ Redick came off the bench scoring 12 points. Matt Barnes added 10 points while grabbing 7 rebounds.

Paul Pierce led the Celtics with 32 points, 11 rebounds, and 3 assist. Ray Allen scored 22 points while grabbing 5 rebounds. Kevin Garnett chipped in with 14 points and 12 rebounds. Rajon Rondo had 8 assist and 9 points.

"You never know what can happen," Redick said. We can be like the Boston Red Sox. Coming back from 0-3. You never know." said Redick.

The series returns to Orlando on Wednesday, May 26.
