The Duke Blue Devils had the Maryland Terrapins on the ropes for the first two quarters of their match up on the gridiron on Oct. 2 at Byrd Stadium in College Park, Md. It wasn't until late in the second quarter that Maryland found the spark that kicked started "Fear the Turtle" motto when Jr. RB David Meggett, scored a 3yard touchdown run with 1:12 left in the half.
At the start of the second half Jr. WR Tony Logan ran a punt return back for 84 yards to put Maryland in the lead. The 4th quarter 71 yard touchdown pass to Sr. RB Da'Rel Scott pretty much sealed the victory for Maryland. Maryland topped Duke 21-16. Maryland improved to 4-1 and Duke fell to 1-4.
