I Think I Can. I Think I Can. I Know I Can - Take Action!

For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2nd Corinthians 5:7

One of the biggest problems we have as a people is our inability to recognize and utilize the power of our mind. It is the receiving "set" we were all born with. Signals are sent and received by our brain just as satellites send and receive signals that are converted to radio and TV programs. That's what our brain does for us. It's how the Heavenly Father nudges, urges, and places desires in our spirit.

Everything we do requires thought. Yet, we allow negative thoughts to reign at times, unaware of our own power to change negative thought which can paralyze us and paralyzing us is indeed Satan's job.

What is on your mind? Is it something God has placed in your heart to do, but you can't seem to find a way? Have you pushed it back under the rug, yet it keeps coming back? Hunches quickly pass through your mind even inventions like the one I had recently about a new type of indicator signal for your car--a U turn arrow!

When genius ideas show up, we've got to take action immediately. Write it down and take action, it could change your life and the lives of your family members. Imagine lives being changed because the Lord placed a great idea in your mind and you didn't let it get away. Believe it or not, famous inventions have happened just that way.

You can do anything God puts in your mind to be done!

Let's look at Noah, when God told him to build the ark. There had never been any rain on the earth, only mist and moisture. But Noah told everybody it was going to rain. It took him many years to erect the ark large enough to house his family and two of every kind of creature. Noah took action and he had faith. He continued to tell himself, "I think I can. I think I can. I know I can!" He, too, did what God told him. The more Noah built, the stronger his faith increased. That's the way it works. And yours will, too.

When the idea came to me to start my own business, it was a hunch, an overwhelming urge. If I had ignored it, my life would be totally different today. While married, living in West Covina, California, sitting by the pool, I was watching my young children swim and reading Think and Grow Rich by Napoleon Hill. Coupled with my family's teaching of the Holy Bible, my entire life mixed with what Hill had written. Finally, there were answers to questions I pondered for as long as I can remember. For example, what causes one man to be able to achieve bountifully and another one not? Hill's book helped me understand. I did it and you can, too.

I was appointed to positions by high-ranking elected officials. I headed up a national monument--the African American Civil War Memorial in the District of Columbia. I coordinated a major festival, obtained government contracts, ran a small business, and worked with celebrities. I remember I even called and interviewed Archbishop Desmond Tutu and many, many other well-known people.

Everyone who thinks he/she can, (that's faith) will surely achieve success in whatever field chosen. Hill said, "Many believed I was wasting my time all those years." But Hill believed. He said, "I think I can, I think I can, I know I can!"

Studying the scriptures, along with regular and faithful worship service, coupled with Hill's formula will help you, too. The choice is yours, you can do it.

It's like a steady stream, flowing downhill, the word says, "I'll never leave you nor forsake you." Go with the flow. The water currents will definitely keep you moving. Everything you need will be there for you.
