Kevin Durant Gets Assist from Dick Gregory for Shoe Launch

Kevin Durant, coming off a career year which culminated in his first league MVP, celebrated the launch of his new signature Nike shoe — with a little help from his friends.
Nike Basketball celebrates KD and the release of the new signature KD7 with "The Baddest" campaign. Highlighted by an old-meets-new television spot, the ad honors the Prince George's County native and his timeless renaissance style.
Notable cameos in “The Baddest” TV spot include basketball legends George “Iceman” Gervin, Chris Mullin and Charles Oakley; and sharp-witted comedian and civil rights activist Dick Gregory.
The TV spot, produced by Wieden+Kennedy, began airing nationally during the NBA Draft on June 26. The KD7's went on sale on July 12.
