D.C. to Hold Arts Grants Event

The D.C. Commission on the Arts and Humanities will host its annual Grants Kickoff at the Lincoln Theatre on April 7 at 10 a.m., with D.C. Mayor Vincent Gray (D) attending.

The fiscal 2015 funding opportunities for District artists, nonprofits and arts organizations will be presented.

Grant guidelines and applications will be available online through the commission's grant management portal starting April 7. Deadlines for grant programs range from May 7-16.

Free grant-writing workshops to provide assistance to potential applicants will be held at the commission headquarters, THEARC in Southeast and the Marshall Heights Community Development Organization in Northeast.
