The District of Columbia takes top billing on a new list of the 10 most stressful cities in the country.

According to the online new homes search group, Movoto Real Estate, while some places are more stressful -- and stressed out -- than others, there are none better at it than the nation’s capital.

Particularly when it comes to cities where “you can’t pay the rent, you’re stuck in traffic, you can’t find a job, [and] you’re working too much. It’s all enough to make anyone want to scream,” a survey team for Motovo Real Estate claims. “Stress is bad. It doesn’t just result in screaming at inopportune moments, loss of hair, or uncontrollable facial ticks. It can literally kill you, as countless medical studies have shown.”

The other cities, listed in order according to their high levels of stress, are New York City; Miami, Florida; San Francisco; California; Jersey City, New Jersey; Oakland, California; Chicago, Illinois; Newark, New Jersey; Philadelphia, Pennsylvania; and Los Angeles; California.
