Tracy Martin (center) father of slain teenager, Trayvon Martin, receives a standing ovation for being an excellent parent during the standing room only inaugural Congressional Caucus Black Men and Boys hearing held Wed., July 24 at the Rayburn House Office Building in Southeast.  Martin was one of the panelists that included Kweise Mfume, former NAACP chief executive and Maryland Congressman, Michael Eric Dyson, sociology professor at Georgetown University in Northwest, Martin's attorney, Ben Crump, and David Johns, executive director of the White House Initiative on Educational Excellence for African Americans.

Tracy Martin Among Panelists at CCBMB Forum

A distinguished panel of African-American leaders joined members of the Congressional Caucus on Black Men and Boys (CCBMB) at the Rayburn Office Building on Capitol Hill Wednesday where they, along with Trayvon Martin’s father, discussed the plight of young black males.
