During the event, the 300-member group asked attendees to donate sanitary items such as soap, deodorant and baby wipes for Shepherd Cove, a shelter in Capitol Heights that serves up to 100 women and children. The goal of the event was to collect six months worth of supplies for those who seek emergency housing at the shelter.
