During the heyday of the civil rights movement, brave warriors like Dr. M.L. King, the Rev. Jesse Jackson, Julian Bond and Bayard Rustin clearly understood that in order for a protest march to really matter, it was essential to have a solid list of beliefs, standards and, in some cases, demands which collectively grounded the reasons why people were marching in the first place.
