Flood Warning for D.C.

The National Weather Service reports that as showers and thunderstorms move today through the D.C. region, a flash flood watch will be in effect through tonight for potential flooding.
In addition, the Department of Homeland Security states that the District is under a flash flood warning until 4 a.m. Tuesday, July 24.
As motorists move around the region, DHS reminds them to never drive through standing water, as they risk not only their life, but that of first responders as well.
If drivers approach standing water, they are urged to turn around instead of trying to drive through, according to DHS.
