Financial Literacy

I really enjoyed your Financial Literacy Supplement. Lots of valuable information I plan to share with family and friends. I have several papers to pass out. Thank God it’s free!

Violence in D.C.

I know the Informer says it only covers positive news, but the violent crimes in D.C. demand a response from everyone. When I talk to people in my neighborhood, at church and at work, we are all dismayed by the uptick in murders by teens against teens. No one seems to have any answers and it is making it more difficult to feel safe in your own homes. It would be great to see the Informer talk to people who have ideas about what we can do to end this deadly curse on our city.

Former DC Council Member

I read in the Set. 26 issue of The Washington Informer that former D.C. Council member Michael A. Brown “may consider a run for the District’s legislative body in 2020.” Really? Will he be asking me for my vote? He said he has put the past behind him, but I don’t think the voters have. He may want to think more about this or talk to more folks who can give him a wake-up call.
