The List: Going-Out Guide

In Washington, D.C., the nightlife industry remains undisturbed by the ups and downs of our political backdrop. Our local laws allow liquor to be served by a licensed business from 8 a.m. to 2 a.m. on Monday – Thursday, from 8 a.m. to 3 a.m. on Friday and Saturday and 10 a.m. – 2 a.m. on Sundays. With such a diverse landscape of culture in Washington, you can go out any night of the week and find something to do that fits your desires. We’ve created a list of a few of our favorite promoters and parties to follow to help you navigate those late nights.

ROCK CREEK SOCIAL CLUB
@rockcreeksocial
Favorite Party: Grilled Cheese Social
#GIRLAAA @ Diet Starts Monday

RCSC has been a cultural staple in Washington since its founding over 10 years ago. Having a reputation for bringing the cool vibes and creating “hipsteresque” experiences you might expect in LA or NYC, you won’t be upset attending one of their events.

THAT FEEL GOOD
@feelgooddc
Favorite Party: BabyGirl Party @ Big Chief
ThatFeelGood: Thursday @ Rosebar
Flavors: Saturday @ Soundcheck

If you’re looking for a cool vibe but on a weekly basis then you’ll love ThatFeelGood DC’s events. Spearheaded by DJ Spinser Tracy and his team of influencers, they’re paving a path and creating spaces for pure fun without the big expectation to spend all your coins.

JOY CLUB
@joyclubdc
Favorite Party: Really Big Tequila Party @ Big Chief
Tuesday @ Cloack & Dagger #TheMid: Wednesday @ Heist

Joy Club is another emerging social group in the area. The group consists of some of the city’s hottest dj’s including Malcolm Xavier and Little BaconBear who have both been picked up by major radio stations in the area. If you want to actually dance, then you will love thier events.

MLK2MADISON
@mlk2madison
Favorite Party: Midnite BBQ
H Street House Party @ Redrocks H Street

These guys are up to something. As much of the city migrates to U Street and Connecticut Avenue, they’re over on H Street curating authentic experiences for the millenial grown and sexy. While many of their events are at RedRocks on H Street, they have created a staple event called Midnite BBQ that pops up all over the city and recently made its way to NYC. Follow these guys for great food and great vibes.

JUNGLE FEVER
@mistaselecta & @manesqueeze

This is your closest way to experience the diverse true culture of D.C. This is a high energy, sweaty, go-go playing, mosh pit party that will rock your socks off. Highly recommend major hydration before attending.

CATCH A VIBE
@catchavibedc

If you’ve never been to Velvet Lounge on U Street then you owe yourself a visit. Major dive vibes here and cheap drinks helps you forget about that bougie day job you have to attend in the morning. Follow @DreSoulHigh for the inside look.

THROWING SHADE
@throwingshadedc

Started by @FarrahFlosscett & @Mathias301, this is a place where the music is always amazing, the cover is free, and it’s held in a super secret speakeasy in the fridge of a deli. What’s not to love!

STCG: SPREADING THE COMMON GOOD
@stcg.collective

It’s rare that you hear about an STCG party but when you do, clear your calendar. This is a great group of young professionals who are looking to party with a cause. On top of the fundraising opportunites, they are also great places to connect with educated “woke” folks and have quality conversations. You may even find your future boo there.
