A dream is a sensation that occurs in a person’s mind during sleep. The best part about dreams is that they can and do come true. However, one must first dare to make that dream come true by doing exactly what has been shown to them during sleep. Thus my title, “Dream, Dare, Do!”
There are literally millions of people who have dreamed dreams, but they don’t even begin to believe these dreams can become real. This column will actually show you the method.
Let’s first go to scripture. Proverbs 18:21 (KJV) says, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof.”
Declare it so by saying a positive statement throughout the day. As you speak life, you will be creating it out in the universe, where the Holy Spirit, God and His Angels will hear you and they will begin to work on your behalf to bring it to fruition.
The definition of the word “dare” is to have the courage to do something. Let’s say you saw yourself in a dream as your best self, best weight, best hair, best everything, yet once you awaken, you think, “it’s only a dream,” and you refuse to try.
Please be careful how you grow your faith in your dream. The name on a car doesn’t determine the quality of that product, but it represents the material and the process of which that car was taken through. You’ve got to get to the heart of the matter. You’ve got to see, feel and believe in your dream. In fact, you’ve got to know. It’s called faith. Scripture reminds us how faith without works, is dead!
Joseph, who wore the multi-colored coat, went through a process to become the man of God he was and also to see his dream come to pass. Most of us at one time or another have had a dream to do something big for God, but what can happen is our dream can be put to sleep or die in the midst of the process.
Believe it or not, all of us are going through a process. What can happen is we can let the process steal our dream.
In the land of Canaan, there lived a man who had 12 sons. His favorite was Joseph. Joseph was a good boy and very clever. God spoke to Joseph in his dreams.
Joseph told his brothers about his dreams: “I dreamed that we all had bundles of wheat. And your bundles bowed down to mine.”
“I dreamed that the sun and the moon and the stars bowed down to me,” he said.
Joseph’s brothers were jealous. “We will never bow down to Joseph,” they said.
One day they sold Joseph to some men who were going to Egypt. Then they told their father that Joseph had been eaten by wild animals. Joseph’s father was very sad.
Many years later, Joseph’s brothers went to Egypt to get food. Their families were starving because there was no food in Canaan. When they saw the man in charge of food, they all bowed. They didn’t know that he was their brother Joseph. Joseph’s dream had come true. Joseph invited his whole family to come to Egypt, where there was enough food for everyone.
Joseph’s father was so happy. His favorite son was alive, and his family was saved.
Dream, and believe what God has shown you, then be bold and dare to do it. Get that thing done by trusting God!
