“How to Get Away with Murder” star Viola Davis has been tapped to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
She will be the first actor to receive a star in 2017, Hollywood Walk of Fame producer Ana Martinez said this week.
“Viola is one of the actresses who always mesmerize fans with her talent,” Martinez said. “She is amazing and we are thrilled that she will grace our world famous Hollywood Walk of Fame.”
The ceremony will be live-streamed Jan. 5 at at 11:30 a.m.
Davis, whose latest film, “Fences,” also starring Denzel Washington, hits theaters Christmas Day, has also been nominated for a 2017 NAACP Image Award for her role in “How to Get Away with Murder.”
