Actress Jordan White steals the show as Jean in Dennis Williams’ “I’ve Cried the Blues: The Musical Story of a Lifetime” with guest stars KeKe Wyatt and Avery Sunshine at the Warner Theatre in northwest D.C. on June 8.

The musical, set in the blues era of 1945 in Little Rock, Arkansas, is about a family who struggles to find peace in pursuing their dreams with poverty, illiteracy, segregation, sexism, gun violence and homophobia attempting to tear them apart.

Produced by Williams’ company Legendary Studio Shows (LSS) Universal, the musical comes a year after the success of his hit stage play, “Love & Therapy Gone Wrong.”

Cast members include White, Karen Linette, Diana Carver, William Taylor II, Javarde Seay, Jevone Levi, Kadaja Holloway and Victoria Woodbury.
