Omarosa Manigault Newman is set to leave the Trump administration next month, the White House said Wednesday.

Manigault Newman, who serves as President Donald Trump’s liaison to the Black community, will step down Jan. 20, one year after Trump’s inauguration, said White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

“Omarosa Manigault Newman resigned yesterday to pursue other opportunities,” Sanders said in a statement. “We wish her the best in future endeavors and are grateful for her service”

Manigault Newman, a former contestant on Trump’s reality TV show “The Apprentice,” joined the administration last January as director of communications for the White House Office of Public Liaison.
