Six of D.C.’s top high school football teams battled each other Saturday at the inaugural Events DC Kickoff Classic at RFK Stadium.

In the marquee matchup, Friendship Collegiate Academy made easy work of H.D. Woodson 30-14. The Knights, ranked in The Washington Post’s Top 20, led 30-0 before the Warriors scored two late touchdowns.

Friendship, which plays a freelance schedule, is now 3-0 while Woodson, a DCIAA Stars representative, is 0-3.

The second game of the classic was the most exciting one as Woodrow Wilson defeated Archbishop Carroll 30-26. In the opening game, Dunbar High School blew out Maret 56-17.
