I loved the picture of Black Santa on the cover of last week’s Informer. What other paper in Washington, D.C., where you will see Black Santa on the front page? Representation matters and that’s why we must support our Black institutions. Also, the picture’s photo credit said Roy Lewis. Roy is a national treasure and I’m glad to see he’s still going.

Informer Inspires

I didn’t know The Washington Informer had a charity, but I saw the big ol’ ad in the paper and I think I will donate. I’m usually never moved to donate, but I like the work of The Washington Informer and if it’s one thing I do care about, it’s literacy for children. The Informer has been around for forever with no funny business, so I know my donation will be in the right hands. Happy holidays!
